How many pieces do I need? Do I need reserves?
According to strict european regulations inside places can only be furnished with fabrics, -even they serve for advertisement- if they fulfill the prescriptions of fire protection entirely. Therefore polyester fabrics are manufactured from special fibres, that hardly blaze up and the flameretardant effect still can be strengthened by a chemical treatment. Due to the important share of our export to european markets, we have solved this issue since a long time.
Dispersive inks are the perfect solution when screen printing polyester fabrics. There are of course some hard puzzles and dangers of this almost perfect technology. Adopting CMYK printing we have to take into consideration, that among dispersion colorants there are no perfect cyan and magenta, therefore before screen printing several tests have to be carried out as the layout requires. An iceberg, or a colorful autumn forest, or the portrait of a blonde woman in halfshade, you need different matching.
The European graphic designers of the flags are doing their best to provide us with challenges every day, so our experience is growing every day.
Ligh fastness is determined on the basis of a scale, according to which the very best values are 6-7. 5 is also good, but 4 is already unacceptable. On the other hand, when a specific colour has to be printed, and there's no ink with the right value on the pallette of our best European ink suppliers, again we have to make a compromise! Let's add to this topic: ranking on the scale is high, if a colour resisits more sunny hours, but low, if on the contrary. If in the summertime, during three weeks, the sun is shining all the day i.e.from sunrise to sunset and in dead calm, flag is facing sun with ist whole surface - after the fourth week colours will loose their brightness. Unfortunately, there is no remedy against this, if not a cloudy sky.
When printing a fabric, the first step is to prepare the screens. We are using Proditec's direct projector to expose the screens.
